The problem

A sales officer walks a route of thirty outlets a day. Every minute spent fighting the app is a minute not selling, and every order that fails to sync is a delivery that does not happen. The competition was not another app — it was a paper book that always works.

Order splitting

The interesting problem was fulfilment. An order rarely maps cleanly to one distributor’s stock, and splitting it badly means two trucks doing one truck’s job.

I designed an availability-point-based splitting algorithm that scores each distributor against the requested lines and allocates to minimise both partial fills and journeys. It cut fulfilment time across the logistics operation by 30%.

Built for the field, not the demo

Offline-first sync, so an order taken in a basement shop reaches the server when signal returns rather than being lost. Large tap targets, minimal typing, and a distributor-then-product flow that matches how a rep actually thinks.

Call-style notifications for genuinely urgent events — the same full-screen, unmissable pattern as an incoming call. That single change took more than four seconds off average response time, which compounds meaningfully across 300 people.

Last-day sales, top products by value, and achievement badges on the home screen — because a field force responds to a visible leaderboard far more than to a monthly report. Behind it, a role-based dashboard with a dynamic hierarchy so a supervisor, a regional manager and a director each see their own slice without a bespoke build.
